Apparel

All students that are traveling will receive a trip t-shirt that they will wear on travel days. It is a beautiful bright orange.  If you or your student would like to order this same design in either East blue or white, please print out the attached order form.  The deadline for ordering is this Friday, February, 24,  2017


Important Survey

From Mr. Thorpe’s announcement:  Please complete the following survey regarding baggage on the trip.  This affects 0ur truck packing plans and some other transportation factors like how many bags we’ll be transporting to the airport versus how many will go on the truck.  This needs to be done

In Case You Missed It–Mr. Thorpe’s Announcement

Parents,

I hope you are enjoying the beautiful weekend!  I write you to request a quick answer on a survey (see below) and to give you some updates on some San Francisco details.

First, please complete the survey regarding baggage on the trip.  This affects our truck packing plans and some other transportation factors like how many bags we’ll be transporting to the airport versus how many will go on the truck.  This needs to be done by Tuesday night.   https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/9PLBY7B

Second, we were incorrect in our meal calculation cost at the trip meeting.  Students will be given $15 for each meal that is not already pre-organized on the trip.  For example, any time on the itinerary it says “lunch on your own” the students will be handed this money as they step off the bus.  This is no additional cost as it was figured into your cost when we originally planned the trip. Yay!

Third, we will be streaming the performance / clinic live via Facebook so stay tuned for more details as the old people figure out the technology!  It will be the Symphonic Band and Concert Band at 8:00am and the Wind Symphony at 9:00am on Sunday, March 12th.  *Performance attire has been changed to blue band polo, jeans, and tennis shoes to free up room in the suitcase!  So no concert black or black shoes are necessary.

Fourth, the bag check-in night has been moved to Monday, March 6th at 6:00.  Students in the Symphonic Band and Concert Band will combine for a rehearsal from 6:00-7:30 so we’ll just combine these two events so bags can be checked while students are rehearsing.

Lastly, Trip shirts are ready to order for family and friends. Please go to the booster website for information.
