Week of May 8th

Forms!

After weeks of waiting, the website forms are finally ready!  We greatly appreciate your patience! Please go to http://goband.org/ and click on the Forms tab.  There are TWO forms to fill out:  The first is the Information and Contribution Form.  This page is linked with PayPal, as the contribution, buttons, and auto decals are handled on this page.  Everyone enrolled in band needs to fill out this form.  We need the information for our records, and the contribution is extremely important.  The costs for music, music arrangements, drill writing, bussing, website expenses, trailer expenses, etc, add up rapidly.  We count on the contribution to fund the majority of our year, and with our fundraising efforts going to the trip the past two years, the contribution this year is more important than ever.

The second page you need to fill out is the Marching Band Apparel Form.  This is where gloves, shoes, polo, shorts and t-shirts are ordered.  This page is NOT linked to PayPal, as these items now need to be paid thru the school.  You will see these totals in your student’s Synergy account at a later date. If you do not need to order any of the apparel items listed above, you are not required to fill out this form.


2016-17 Band DVD

It has come to our attention that there was an error in the formatting of the DVD. The sound and the video do not match up as the show goes on. The company that ripped  these for us will make new ones, and we will do our best to get them to you as soon as possible.

Note:  If you purchased your DVD on the night of the concert from the table outside of the auditorium, please send an email to this address: spartanbandbooster@gmail.com  with “DVD” in the subject line.  Include your name and phone number, and if you paid with cash or check.

For the seniors, and those that pre-ordered, we have your information already, and will get these out to you as soon as we can.


Band Announcements – Mr. Thorpe

  • Our final Concert and Awards night will be on Tuesday, May 9th at 6:00pm.  Arrival time is 5:30 for Woodwind Choir, 5:45 for everyone else.  Concert attire is your choice of dress clothing –not concert black.  Ladies, still not leggings as pants.
  • Woodwind Choir final rehearsal on stage Tuesday morning at 7:20.
  • Color Guard and Drumline results will be posted this week, most likely Wednesday.
  • If you have any instruments, equipment, or anything else that is East or LPS property, it must be returned this week.  We need to do our year end inventory before we check OUT instruments for next year’s band students.
  • For your planning, we will still play in class after the concert through next week.  We will let you know when you can take instruments home for good.
  • Nebraska All-State Band and Jazz Band materials are now available on their website:  www.nmeanebraska.org.  Click on the “All-State” tab and then click on “2017 All-State Audition Etudes.”  Registration ($20 payment) is due by September 11. Recordings will be made and uploaded the last week of September.
  • Keep in mind the summer band dates and mark them on your calendars!
